Choosing a Linear LED Fixture: Length, Power and Light Colour
Unlike point lighting, a linear fixture gives a continuous, shadow-free light. That is why it is preferred over long tables, in corridors and above worktops: the light spreads evenly across the surface and no hard shadow forms. Our collection holds 69 models.
Choose the Length by the Surface
The most common lengths in our catalogue are 60, 80, 100, 120 and 150 cm. Over a table or an island, a fixture about two thirds the length of the surface it lights gives a balanced result. For longer runs, modules can be joined end to end to build a continuous line.
Power and Light Level
- 30–45 W: the densest range in our catalogue; enough for a desk or a corridor at home and office scale.
- 85–150 W: for commercial spaces with high ceilings and for large open-plan offices.
The higher the ceiling, the more power the same light level needs: when the distance between the light source and the surface doubles, the illuminance reaching that surface falls markedly.
Light Colour
In this category our catalogue leans towards 3000K warm white; neutral and cool tones are available in a limited number of models. Warm white suits wood and matt surfaces and produces a more welcoming atmosphere in living spaces. In technical areas and at worktops used for detailed work, a more neutral tone may be preferable.
Mounting Type
- Suspended: the most common use over a table. Leave 70–80 cm between the underside and the tabletop.
- Surface-mounted: fixed straight to a concrete ceiling, with no need to lower the ceiling.
- Recessed: in a plasterboard ceiling the fixture finishes flush with the surface; this is the plainest look and must be planned together with the ceiling build.
Budget
Our 25 models with a published price run from 38 EUR to 1595 EUR, with a median of 425 EUR. Long, multi-module project fixtures sit at the upper end. For models priced by size, the page shows a quote option.
