Installation & Compatibility
The panel is suspended from the ceiling on steel cables; no suspended ceiling is required and it can be fitted to any sound ceiling, including bare concrete. The cable length is adjustable, so you can set the panel at exactly the height you want. The ceiling anchor must be strong enough to carry the panel's weight.

Description
An industrial (highbay) fixture is designed for spaces with ceilings of 5 metres and above. It directs light downwards in a narrow beam, so that light delivered from height still arrives at floor level with useful intensity.
Why a normal fixture will not do
Light intensity falls with the square of distance: light delivered from 8 metres arrives at the floor at a quarter of the intensity of light from 4 metres. A wide-angle ceiling fixture at that height scatters light onto walls and into empty space. A highbay fixture gathers the light and prevents that loss.
Choosing the power
Ceiling height decides: 85W for 5–7 m, 150W for 7–9 m and 200W above 9 m are typical starting points. In warehouse aisles, aligning fixtures with the aisle axis reduces shadow from the racking.

Usage & Warnings
Installation
- The fixture is suspended from the ceiling structure by its hanging ring or hook.
- Working at height requires safety precautions and suitable equipment; installation should be carried out by a qualified team.
- Isolate the supply before wiring; the connection must be made by a qualified electrician.
Heat and positioning
- Leave clearance above the fixture for air circulation; mounting it flush against the ceiling prevents heat from dissipating.
- Select wattage by ceiling height: 85W for 5–7 m, 150W for 7–9 m and 200W above 9 m are typical starting points.
Use
- In warehouses, align fixtures with the aisle axis; mounting them across the aisles leaves deep shadows.
- This product is for indoor and covered areas. Open-air use requires an appropriate ingress protection rating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which power for which ceiling height?
Typical starting points: 85W for 5–7 m, 150W for 7–9 m and 200W above 9 m. For a precise answer an illuminance calculation should be made for the intended use — production areas require a higher level than storage.
Could I not use a normal ceiling fixture?
No. Light intensity falls with the square of distance; wide-angle light delivered from 8 metres does not arrive at the floor with useful intensity and much of it scatters onto the walls. A highbay fixture gathers the light and prevents that loss.
The racking casts shadows in my warehouse — what should I do?
Align the fixtures with the axis of the aisles; fixtures mounted across the aisles leave deep shadows within them. As the number of aisles grows, the fixture layout should follow that same axis.
How is it installed?
The fixture is suspended from the ceiling structure by a hanging ring or hook. Working at height requires safety precautions and suitable equipment; this installation should be carried out by a qualified team.
Will heat be a problem?
Highbay fixtures are built with an aluminium heat sink that carries heat upwards. Clearance must be left above the fixture for air circulation; mounting it flush against the ceiling prevents heat from dissipating.
