Description
The 35W panel is the smaller sibling of the 45W model and works the same way: it is not recessed, it is fixed onto the ceiling face. At 39 cm across it lights a mid-sized room without filling the ceiling.
3150 lumens suits a bedroom or study of 14–20 m². In a living room we would pair it with a second fixture rather than rely on it alone, or move up to the 45W model.
Where it works
Bedrooms, children's rooms, studies, wide sections of hallway and small living areas. In standard homes with ceilings of 2.4–2.8 m the light distribution is at its most even.
Ceiling height changes the sum
The lumens-per-square-metre rule assumes a ceiling of 2.4 to 2.8 m. As the ceiling rises, the light weakens before it reaches the floor: at 3.2 m the same room needs roughly 25 per cent more lumens. In a room with a high ceiling a 35W panel covers 14–16 m², not 20. That is why moving up to the 45W model, or to two fixtures, is the sounder decision in tall, wide spaces such as a living room.

Usage & Warnings
Before installation
- Switch off the circuit at the fuse box before wiring. Turning off the wall switch is not enough.
- The fixture connects directly to 220–240V mains. If your installation has no earth conductor, consult a qualified electrician.
- On plasterboard ceilings do not screw straight into the board; use hollow-wall (toggle or spring) anchors.
Use and care
- Wipe the surface with a dry, soft cloth. Abrasive sponges, bleach and alcohol-based cleaners permanently dull the diffuser.
- Cut the power and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
- For indoor use only. Do not install outdoors or anywhere exposed to direct moisture.
LED and driver
- The LED board is soldered in place and cannot be replaced individually like a bulb.
- This range is not dimmable. Wiring it to a dimmer circuit damages the driver and causes flicker.
- If the light flickers or fails, the part that normally needs replacing is the driver, not the LEDs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between 35W and 45W?
Power, diameter and light output: the 35W is 39 cm across at 3150 lumens, the 45W is 49 cm at 4150 lumens. The same patterns and the same mounting type are available in both. Above 20 m² the 45W gives a more balanced result; below it, the 35W does.
Which colour temperature suits a bedroom?
4000K natural white. It stimulates the eye less in the evening. 6500K cool white can feel too sharp in a room used before sleep; keep it for kitchens and work areas.
Is mounting on plasterboard safe?
Yes, with the right anchor. The fixture is light; a toggle or spring anchor made for plasterboard is enough. The board itself carries no load — make sure the anchor can open out behind it.
Is it dimmable?
No. This range comes with a fixed-output built-in driver and will not work on a conventional wall dimmer. Wiring it to a dimmer damages the driver and causes flicker.
Does an electrician have to fit it?
The fixture connects directly to 220V mains. You can isolate the circuit at the fuse box and make the connection yourself, but if there is no earth conductor at the point of connection, or you are unsure about cable sizing, have a qualified electrician do it.
