Description
The smallest member of the range. At 26 cm across it sits in proportion on a narrow ceiling and works as the single fixture in an entrance hall, utility room, balcony, stair landing or small bathroom.
The most common mistake in a small space is choosing a fixture that is too powerful: a 45W panel in a 7 m² hall is uncomfortable to stand under. 1800 lumens is the right proportion at this scale.
Placement in a narrow space
In a small room, how close the fixture sits to a wall decides how the light spreads. Mounted less than 40 cm from a wall it leaves a bright patch on that wall and under-lights the opposite corner. In a narrow space such as an entrance hall, set the fixture over the centre of use rather than the geometric centre of the ceiling — in a hallway that is usually the line of passage between the shoe cabinet and the door.
On a stair landing
On a landing the fixture belongs in front of the steps, not above them. Light directly over a step throws the descending person's own shadow onto it and the step edge disappears. A single fixture at the centre of the landing lights both the descent and the ascent without shadow.

Usage & Warnings
Before installation
- Switch off the circuit at the fuse box before wiring. Turning off the wall switch is not enough.
- The fixture connects directly to 220–240V mains. If your installation has no earth conductor, consult a qualified electrician.
- On plasterboard ceilings do not screw straight into the board; use hollow-wall (toggle or spring) anchors.
Use and care
- Wipe the surface with a dry, soft cloth. Abrasive sponges, bleach and alcohol-based cleaners permanently dull the diffuser.
- Cut the power and let the fixture cool before cleaning.
- For indoor use only. Do not install outdoors or anywhere exposed to direct moisture.
LED and driver
- The LED board is soldered in place and cannot be replaced individually like a bulb.
- This range is not dimmable. Wiring it to a dimmer circuit damages the driver and causes flicker.
- If the light flickers or fails, the part that normally needs replacing is the driver, not the LEDs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is it a problem to fit a powerful panel in a small room?
Yes. When light intensity is higher than the space needs, you get glare and eye fatigue, and energy is wasted. In 7–10 m², 1800 lumens is a balanced level; 4000 lumens is not.
Can I use it on a balcony?
On an enclosed balcony that stays dry, yes. Open balconies, terraces and eaves are exposed to moisture and need a fixture built for outdoor use with the appropriate ingress protection rating.
Is it suitable for a stairwell?
It works well for landing lighting. In tall stairwells access for maintenance becomes difficult once fitted, so plan a position you can reach.
How long will it last?
The LED board typically lasts beyond 30,000 hours. At three hours a day that is more than 25 years; in practice the driver determines the real service life.
Do I need special tools to fit it?
A drill, the right anchors and a screwdriver are enough. The base plate is screwed to the ceiling and the body clips onto it. Isolate the circuit at the fuse box before connecting.
