This product is recessed into a T24 (60×60) suspended-ceiling grid. It cannot be mounted directly onto a flat concrete ceiling.
Description
Used on its own, an LED strip reads as a row of dots and is uncomfortable to look at. An LED profile takes the strip into a channel and the diffuser spreads the light, so the result is one continuous line instead of separate points.
The aluminium body is also a heatsink, and heat is what really decides how long a strip lasts. A strip buried in plaster or timber without a profile runs hot and loses noticeable brightness within a year.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use an LED strip without a profile?
You can, at two costs: the light source shows as separate dots, and the strip cannot shed heat, so its life shortens. In recessed work the profile should not be skipped.
Can profiles be joined end to end?
Yes. Butt the profiles; the strip must be cut on its marked cut line and rejoined with solder or a connector.
