Description
The whole weight of a suspended ceiling reaches the structure through these small parts. The hanger wire carries the runner from the slab and its length follows the depth of the void. Where the slab is aerated concrete or pumice block, an anchor plate spreads the load — a single fixing can work loose in a porous material.
Clips and double-spring hangers join wire to profile; the sprung type also allows height adjustment, which is what makes a ceiling easy to level.

No. In sound concrete a steel nail-in anchor holds directly. The anchor plate is for porous materials, where an anchor could pull out of a single point.
