Description
A corner is the most exposed part of a wall. A corner bead does two jobs at once: it gives the corner a straight, sharp line and it protects that line from impact.
Which type you need follows the finish. PVC mesh beads are bedded into gypsum — they never rust, so they suit wet rooms. Galvanised gypsum beads work under thin plaster, machine-plaster beads under thick applied render, and notched arch beads bend to a radius.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a galvanised corner bead be used in a wet room?
It is not advisable. In a damp environment, rust can start at the cut edges and bleed through the paint as a stain; in wet rooms a PVC mesh corner bead is preferred.
