How many pieces are in a box?
One box contains 12 panels and covers approximately 3 m². Divide your ceiling area by that figure to work out the number of boxes, and plan a little extra for cuts.
How are they glued?
They are applied with mastic adhesive. The adhesive is placed in dabs on the back of the panel and along the edges, then the panel is pressed onto the ceiling. No suspension system is required.
Which surfaces can they be applied to?
They go onto flat, sound and dust-free surfaces: plaster, concrete or plasterboard. A flaking paint layer or a surface that rubs off must be prepared first, otherwise the adhesive pulls the surface away.
Can they be used in wet areas?
Foam covering is decorative and is not designed for areas that take water directly. Waterproof PVC products suit bathrooms better; heavy steam can also weaken the adhesive bond over time.
How are they cut?
Thanks to the foam structure they cut easily with a sharp utility knife. Marking with a straight edge and cutting in one pass reduces crumbling and keeps the joints neat.
Can they be painted, and how are they cleaned?
The surface can be painted with water-based paints; paints containing solvents must not be used as they can dissolve the foam. For cleaning, dry dusting or a lightly dampened cloth is enough.
