Description
The E14 Starburst Wall Sconce offers the same starburst form with a different technical set-up: instead of a battery and fixed LEDs, a standard E14 socket. That means you choose the bulb — its brightness, its colour temperature and, if your circuit allows, whether it dims.
The body speaks the same language as the battery version: fine metal rods fanning up and down from a central band, casting long, fine shadows on the wall. The difference is that the bulb is visible and replaceable; a decorative filament bulb gives a classic result, an opal globe a softer one.
This model runs on mains power only; there is no battery option. For anyone with an existing sconce outlet who wants to choose their own bulb, it is the most economical option in the range. Four finishes: Gold, Silver, Black and Antique.
In the box
The sconce arrives pre-assembled, with two wall plugs, two screws and a spring terminal for the mains connection. The bulb is not included — the socket is E14 and bulbs are widely available.
Installation
Connect it to your existing sconce outlet with the spring terminal and fix it with the two plugs and screws. We recommend having the connection made by a qualified electrician, and switching off at the consumer unit first.

Usage & Warnings
Use and care
- The fitting is designed for indoor use. Do not install it in a shower area, on an exterior wall, in a garden or anywhere exposed directly to moisture.
- Wipe the metal body with a dry, soft cloth. Abrasive sponges, bleach, solvents and alcohol-based cleaners dull the finish permanently.
- Switch off at the consumer unit before cleaning or changing the bulb, and let the bulb cool before handling it.
Power and bulb
- This model runs on mains power only; there is no battery option.
- The bulb is not included. The socket is E14; use an LED bulb to reduce heat and running cost.
- Do not exceed the wattage stated on the fitting; an over-powered bulb heats the body unnecessarily.
- We recommend having the connection made by a qualified electrician. Faults caused by incorrect wiring are not covered by the warranty.
Installation
- The wall plugs supplied are for brick and concrete. Use plasterboard fixings on stud walls.
- This model requires an existing sconce outlet in the wall; without one, a cable must be run first.
- Before drilling, make sure there is no electrical cable or water pipe behind the wall.

Does this model run on a battery?
No. The E14 version works from the mains only; there is no battery option. If you want cordless operation, choose the battery version of the same design — the Starburst Wall Sconce.
Is a bulb included?
No, the bulb is not included. The socket is E14 and bulbs are easy to find in supermarkets and DIY stores. We recommend an LED bulb to reduce heat and running cost.
Which bulb should I choose?
For a warm, classic look, a 2700K decorative filament LED. For softer, shadow-free light, an opal globe LED. If your circuit is dimmable, choose a dimmable LED.
I have no sconce outlet on my wall — what now?
This model requires wiring. If there is no outlet, you either need an electrician to run a cable, or you should choose one of our battery-capable models — Starburst, Cage, Slim, Opal Tube and others.
How does it differ from the battery Starburst?
The design and body are identical; the difference is technical. The battery version also runs cordless on a 9V cell, comes with its LED bulbs fitted and costs more. The E14 version is mains-only, you choose the bulb, and it is more economical.
