Description
Plasterboard is a facing material; the frame behind it carries the load. The logic is the same everywhere: the U profile (DU, TU) is fixed to floor, ceiling or wall and sets out the frame, and the C profile (DC, TC) drops into it to form the member the board is screwed to.
Width decides two things at once — how tall the partition can go and how thick the insulation inside it can be. Material thickness (0.35–0.50 mm) decides how well the profile resists buckling: a thin profile needs closer supports, a thicker one holds a flatter surface with fewer.

With wall plugs suited to the wall material, usually at 50–60 cm intervals. On aerated concrete and pumice block walls, a dedicated aerated-concrete anchor is used instead of a plastic plug.
