Description
The Cascade Wall Sconce is built from fine metal rods that hang at different lengths from a central cylinder. Their uneven ends create a rhythm on the wall; even hanging still, the piece suggests movement — rain, or notes on a stave.
Light leaves the cylinder and filters between the rods, falling on the wall as vertical lines. That optically lifts the ceiling, which is particularly useful in rooms with a low one. At 50 cm overall it still holds a wide wall.
Because it speaks the same language as pendant lighting, it pairs easily with fittings you already own. Gold and Rose suit warm, classic rooms; Silver modern and minimal ones; Black and Antique complete industrial and rustic interiors.
Works the moment you open the box
The sconce arrives pre-assembled and ready to light. LED bulbs, a 9V battery, two wall plugs with screws and a spring terminal are all in the box — there is nothing else to buy. The on/off switch sits on the body, so you can control the light without a wall switch or a socket nearby.
As easy to fit as hanging a picture
Used with the battery, the wall needs no electrical work at all: two plugs, two screws, done. If you later want it hardwired, unplug the battery from its connector and wire the fitting to your mains using the spring terminal supplied. That flexibility is what makes this a real option for renters and for walls that are already finished.

Usage & Warnings
Use and care
- The fitting is designed for indoor use. Do not install it in a shower area, on an exterior wall, in a garden or anywhere exposed directly to moisture.
- Wipe the metal body with a dry, soft cloth. Abrasive sponges, bleach, solvents and alcohol-based cleaners dull the finish permanently.
- On models with crystal or acrylic parts a damp cloth is enough; dry immediately afterwards. Avoid hard water, which leaves limescale marks.
- Always switch the fitting off before cleaning or changing a bulb; on mains power, also switch off at the consumer unit.
Power and battery
- When wiring to the mains, disconnect the battery from its connector first.
- Use LED bulbs matching the socket type and never exceed the stated wattage.
- A weak battery does not cut out suddenly — the light dims gradually. Replace it with a new 9V cell of the same size.
- We recommend having the mains connection made by a qualified electrician. Faults caused by incorrect wiring are not covered by the warranty.
Installation
- The wall plugs supplied are for brick and concrete. Use plasterboard fixings on stud walls.
- Mounting it above eye level (roughly 160–180 cm from the floor) gives the up-and-down light its best effect on the wall.
- Before drilling, make sure there is no electrical cable or water pipe behind the wall.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do the rods move?
No, they are welded to the body. Once mounted they do not shift and make no noise; the sense of movement is purely visual, created by their different lengths.
Does it suit a low ceiling?
It does, and it actually helps: the hanging rods cast vertical lines that lift the ceiling optically. Mount it 170–180 cm from the floor so the rod ends stay above head height.
Will it match my pendant light?
Usually yes — this model shares the design language of pendant fittings. Match the metal tone (gold, black, silver) and the room reads as one scheme.
Are the rod ends sharp?
No, the ends are cleaned and blunted. Even so, it is less suited to children's rooms and low mounting than the other models; keep it above head height.
How many should I buy?
A pair gives symmetry on a wide living-room wall or at a bedhead. A single fitting, or an evenly spaced run of three, works well in a hallway. Because it is 50 cm tall, leave at least 1.5 m between fittings.
