Where does a classic chandelier fit?

With its arms, crystal decorations and symmetrical form, a classic chandelier gives a room an elegant, impressive feel. It is chosen for large living rooms, dining rooms, entrance halls with high ceilings, hotel lobbies and reception halls where striking lighting is expected. It suits classic, neoclassical and modern classic interiors.

Of the 10 models in this collection, 5 are crystal and 5 are classic LED chandeliers with acrylic bodies. The 4 crystal models with arms have 6, 20 and 23 arms; their crystals refract the light and scatter sparkling reflections on the walls and ceiling. The acrylic LED models combine the classic form with an integrated LED light source and are 40 cm to 127 cm wide.

Size, light and care

Room size is decisive when choosing a classic chandelier: as a general rule, adding the room's width and length in metres gives an approximate chandelier diameter in tens of centimetres (for example, about 90 cm for a 4×5 m room). Leave comfortable headroom between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor. Models with listed luminous flux range from 2,700 lm to 18,000 lm.

The crystal models with arms take E14 bulbs; candle-shaped bulbs complete the classic look. LED models with a listed light colour are 3000K warm white. To clean the crystals, switch off the power and wipe them one by one with a soft, dry cloth; have the chandelier fixed to a ceiling point strong enough for its weight, ideally by an electrician.
