The effect of a rattan chandelier

A rattan chandelier filters light through its body woven from natural fibres and spreads it into the room; light passing through the gaps in the weave casts soft shadow patterns on the ceiling and walls. That is why it is popular in boho, Scandinavian, Mediterranean and natural-texture interiors, holiday homes, cafés and hotel lobbies. All 16 models in this collection list wicker and bamboo as their material.

The 13 single-light models can be used on their own or in a row above a dining table, kitchen island or bedside. The 2 seven-light models spread light over a larger area in living rooms and large dining spaces. Width ranges from 18 cm to 80 cm; alongside natural bamboo tones there are white, white-natural, white-copper and white-rose gold options.

Socket, bulb and care

14 models have an E27 socket and 1 an E14 socket; the bulb you fit sets the light colour and power. The light that best complements the natural tone of wicker is usually 3000K warm white or 2700K amber; for rooms used all day, a 4000K neutral white bulb can also be chosen. To protect the natural material, do not exceed the power listed in the product table.

Remove dust from the woven body with a soft brush or a low-suction vacuum attachment; avoid wetting the wicker, as moisture can loosen the fibres. Switch off the power before cleaning, and have the installation done with the circuit breaker off, ideally by an electrician.
